Dear Ticket Holder,

Thank you for purchasing a ticket(s) to the Tuesday, April 18, 2017 Spotlight Dinner.

Dinner attendees will be joined by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater ensemble member and Michigan native, Megan Jakel, and moderated by local dance educator and Happendance founder, Diane Newman. Dancer Megan Jakel trained in ballet and jazz in her hometown of Waterford, Michigan. She joined Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 2009 after graduating from the Ailey/Fordham BFA program in Dance and being part of Ailey II. Diane Newman founded Happendance in 1976, teaches dance at MSU, and is also an author, having written a book for dance instructors on curriculum and movement.

The dinner will be held in the Christman Lounge. An usher will be stationed to collect your dinner tickets in the Sierra Lobby by the Pasant Theatre entrance. Doors and bar open at 5:40pm, buffet service begins at 5:45pm. Each ticket includes dinner and one complimentary beverage (beer/wine). Additional beverages may be purchased throughout the dinner.

Parking Details

If arriving at or prior to 5:30pm guests should plan to use the SHAW entrance to the adjacent parking ramp to ensure access to the ramp. Wilson entrance will not be open or staffed until 5:30pm or shortly after.
